Color-Coded Labeling and Product Identification

Our products are thoroughly labeled and tagged before they leave our plant, and clients are provided with a complete set of informational packages regarding safety, usage and antidotes.

To further ensure that our products are handled with care and can be identified easily, we color-code the labels and tags — and sometimes even the product itself — to match the standard safety-coding system shown below. This ensures proper use, maintenance, delivery and storage of the item. And, we think it’s the best way to protect your staff.

Labels and what they mean to you

FLAMMABLE - Any material whether solid, liquid, vapor, or gas which ignites easily and burns quickly. A flammable liquid will have a flash point below 100F (38C). All Flammables are combustible but not all combustibles are flammable.

CORROSIVE: A chemical that aggressively attacks metal or that burns and destroys living tissue like skin, lungs or the stomach when it touches it. Examples are nitric acid, sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, chlorine and hydrochloric acid.

OXIDIZER: The DOT defines an oxidizer as a substance that yields oxygen readily to stimulate the combustion of organic matter. Oxidizers are significant hazards in a fire situation. Unprotected contact with oxidizers causes chemical burns.

Materials Handling Services

By delivering products via our own fleet, we can control environmental factors that might otherwise affect the performance of those materials, such as heat and cold. It also means we can provide same-day service, if necessary, in emergencies.

Drum Delivery and Disposal

Drum delivery offers flexibility in low-usage facilities and areas. Delivered via our own fleet to local clients, drums are especially convenient. And because our drivers deliver directly to your storage site, we can also ensure the quality of our products.

In addition, if you are using chemicals packaged in drums, C K Enterprises drivers will pick up and remove any empty drums at the same time for recycling at our plant. This means you don’t have to worry about transferring empty containers or spend time triple-washing and cleaning them prior to disposal. That’s not only convenient, it’s a direct cost-savings for you.

Bulk Delivery

For greater economy, C K Enterprises also offers bulk delivery, which eliminates drum shipping, handling and disposal costs, which are shipped via our own fleet.

Tote Tanks

Portable tanks can be shipped by our trucks or by commercial carrier, and replaced with full tanks as needed. Tote tanks offer the advantage of bulk delivery even for facilities with moderate chemical requirements.
